In a silent auction format, homemade goodies change hands and everyone goes home happy and inspired. Canned, grown, dried, fermented, baked, foraged, brewed, and cooked. Our mission is to bring together Seacoast cooks, bakers, canners, gardeners, forages, and other food producers to trade homemade and homegrown foods.

SF Swappers is an ongoing San Francisco-based food swap and social gathering. Founded in 2011 by Aimée Goggins and Chef Stephanie, our mission is to provide an opportunity for home cooks to share food they enjoy creating with a community of like-minded food lovers. We welcome bakers, canners, picklers, distillers, home cooks and everyone passionate about making and sharing food, and we encourage supporting our local food systems and sustainability whenever possible. Our food swaps take place every other month, and include getting to know your fellow San Francisco food makers and the opportunity to swap your homemade items with others.

A food swap is a private, reoccurring event where members of the community share homemade, homegrown, or foraged food with each other. Online RSVP’s are required. Swaps allowed direct trades to take place between attendees. These events are a delicious way to diversify the homemade foods in your own pantry and support local farm markets while getting to know the members of your local food Community. Calling all growers, bakers, brewers, cooks, foragers and craftspeople! The Trading Post, on the first Saturday of every month, allows ordinary home-producers to get together and exchange their goods. You could arrive with half a dozen jars of jam, and leave with a punnet of tomatoes, a lemon drizzle cake, chutney, a homebrewed beer, some seedlings and some back-garden eggs! All are welcome – bring as much or as little produce as you like. It’s a great way to meet other foodies and home-producers, to try new things, and to swap something you’re good at for something someone else is good at!
