FSC Swappers is a bimonthly food swap, in the Capital Region of New York State, organized by the ladies of From Scratch Club. We began the food swaps in May 2011. Our food swaps are a place where home cooks, bakers, gardeners, food preservationists, and DIY rock stars come to swap their homemade food & drink products and garden bounty. Participants come from all over the Capital Region, Hudson Valley and North County to sample items, get inspired, make new friends and of course, swap loot! No money, just great food, is exchanged. Except for November & December, our monthly Albany food swap is on the 3rd Sunday and our monthly Saratoga Springs food swap is the 3rd Wednesday of each month. We ask that all swappers register for a free ticket on Eventbrite. Each swap is open to 30 swappers. We hope to see you at an upcoming swap!

It’s been far too long since Manhattan had a food swap! We want to encourage a bartering, sharing, and maybe even getting to know each other community. Come bring your heirloom tomatoes, foraged somethings, or culinary disasters. We welcome it all! Manhattan Food Exchange was founded by NY Nomads and creators – Sandy Patch and Jennifer Liepin. They support a shared economy and currently run a work exchange out of their bnb in Jersey City. When they aren’t busy with their own ventures, they like roaming around NYC, exchanging pet care for housing through their petsitting business Woof Woof NYC.
