LA Food Swap celebrates good food + good community. We believe in the importance of the handmade and meeting our neighbors. Our events bring Los Angeles cooks, bakers, gardeners, and foragers together to swap their edible creations, share stories, and develop new friendships. We usually meet around Silver Lake and Echo Park. We also help people start swaps in other parts of town.

Homemade Food Swaps in the California East Bay centered in Oakland, CA. EBCA Homemade Food Swap is a place for home cooks, bakers, caners, picklers, jamers, growers, and general “put up-ers” to get together and swap their speciality homemade food items with others in a silent auction style village marketplace. Your homemade creations (breads, jams, pickles, canned goods, backyard produce/eggs, home brews, etc.) become your own personal currency for use in swapping with other participants. Our free events are held seasonally at different locations in the East Bay centering around Oakland & Berkeley. Events are held in the following months: January, April, July, October.

SF Swappers is an ongoing San Francisco-based food swap and social gathering. Founded in 2011 by Aimée Goggins and Chef Stephanie, our mission is to provide an opportunity for home cooks to share food they enjoy creating with a community of like-minded food lovers. We welcome bakers, canners, picklers, distillers, home cooks and everyone passionate about making and sharing food, and we encourage supporting our local food systems and sustainability whenever possible. Our food swaps take place every other month, and include getting to know your fellow San Francisco food makers and the opportunity to swap your homemade items with others.
